Deep purple to nearly opaque in the glass, the 2023 “A” Red Blend from the Upper Galilee offers an expressive nose of black cherries, cassis, cracked black pepper, clove and cumin, accented by hints of vanilla, tobacco leaf and toasted oak. The wine is medium- to full-bodied, with a spicy, Syrah-driven character and lively acidity that lifts the dark fruit profile.

On the palate, it shows ripe blackberry and plum compote, followed by notes of mocha, baking spices and subtle herbal undertones. The tannins are firm but approachable, framing the fruit nicely without overwhelming it. The finish is savory and moderately long, with lingering pepper and oak.

A well-made Israeli blend likely dominated by Syrah / Shiraz with Bordeaux components, it captures the warm, spicy personality typical of Upper Galilee reds.
