Chateau Troplong Mondot Saint-Emilion 1er Grand Cru Classe (2015)

From one of the most celebrated vintages in recent years, this Merlot dominant(90% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc) wine is loaded with aromas of blackberries, mocha, baking spices, and ripe plums. The palate is extremely dense and rich with velvety dark fruits combined with notes of new wood, licorice, and intense dark chocolate. The tannins are soft and developed as the wine now has over 10 years in the bottle. Truly a hedonistic tour de force.
