A wonderfully pure and intensely aromatic orange liqueur with gorgeous aromas of freshly grated orange zest, mandarin and orange blossom, followed by bergamot, lemon peel and subtle white flowers. Hints of cardamom and white pepper emerge with air. Full-bodied and silky, with substantial sweetness but excellent citrus tension. Juicy sweet orange fills the palate initially before bitter orange peel and bergamot provide an increasingly dry, zesty counterpoint. There’s impressive concentration here, with the 40% alcohol giving the citrus oils real definition and preventing the texture from becoming cloying. Long and wonderfully clean on the finish, with candied orange, fresh zest, subtle spice and lingering bitter citrus oils. Exceptionally precise and remarkably versatile.
