This vintage is a highly rated blend of 75% Grenache Noir, 11% Syrah, 11% Mourvedre, and 3% a mix of Cinsault, Vaccarese, and Counoise. It has a rating of 92, and is a classically styled Southern Rhone red wine crafted by the Boiron family, who have been producing wine in that region since 1860.The wine is aged 12 to 18 months in a mix of old French oak, and concrete.The palate is full-bodied, rich, and velvety with notes of ripe strawberries, cherries, cranberry jam, licorice, and white pepper.The finish is long and savory with well integrated tannins.
