Domaine Dujac’s 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis Rouge is produced from six plots at the foot of the slope; the soil of these plots are loamy with patches of Comblanchien limestone, which rests on two substrata types: some plots overlying fine alluvial deposits and others over alluvial fan deposits at the mouth of the valley, contributing to mineral complexity in the wine. On the nose you get aromas of red fruits, plum, orange peel , warm baking spice; while on the palate we get a velvety introduction, with a vibrant fruit core, with smooth and elegant tannins. We recommend pairing this roast chicken with morels, duck breast, pork with cherries or cranberries, mushroom risotto, or grilled quail.
