Domaine Lafond Chateauneuf-du-Pape (2022)

This is a highly acclaimed certified organic red wine from the Southern Rhone region comprised of 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, and 10% Mourvedre.The Grenache is aged in stainless steel to retain pure fruit characteristics, while the Syrah and Mourvedre are aged for several months in new French oak barrels.It is a full bodied, yet velvety-smooth mouth feel, with aromas of ripe black cherry, wild raspberry, plum, cinnamon, licorice, wild herbs, and black pepper.This wine pairs well with Roasted Lamb, Grilled Steaks, Game Meats, Braised Short Ribs, Lentil and other Hearty Stews, Hard Cheeses, and Cured Meats.
