Heiwa Shuzo Tsuru-Ume Kanjuku is characterised by a rich "nectar-like" sweetness balanced by its natural acidity of fully ripened (kanjuku) Nankobai plums. Which is used to produce sweet umeshu (plum liqueur) in Wakayama, Japan. On the palate and nose we get aromas and flavors such as plum, honey or honey tea, brown sugar, rock candy, and a hint of citrus; more sweet than tart overall. We suggest serving it chilled or over ice as a dessert pour or it can be used in a cocktail, such as a splash it into dry sparkling wine as an aperitif.
