Isojiman Pride Of The Seashore Honjozo Sake

Few breweries in Japan have as defined a sense of purpose and as clear an identity as the revered Isojiman Shuzo from Shizuoka prefecture. Located in Yaizu, one of the largest fishing ports in the entire country and a locus for shellfish, tuna and some of the best fresh seafood in Japan, Isojiman makes sake with a strong sense of place, meant to both pair with and evoke the bounty of the ocean. We suggest pairing the Isojiman “ Pride of the Seashore “ Honjozo with anything from the ocean such as sashimi, grilled fish, shellfish, sushi, plus izakaya/pub fare where umami and a bit of salt are present.
