Tapatio Blanco Tequila 110 Proof 1L

A spectacularly expressive high-proof tequila with intense aromas of roasted agave, lime zest, green mango and ripe pear, together with white flowers, fresh herbs and crushed stone. Hints of mint, anise and sweet pepper emerge with air. Full-bodied and wonderfully viscous, but remarkably composed at 110 proof. The palate is saturated with sweet cooked agave, followed by citrus, plum and tropical fruit before layers of black pepper, cinnamon and savory herbs develop. There’s an impressive mineral and slightly saline character underneath everything that gives the spirit tremendous energy. The alcohol provides power and concentration rather than simple heat. Long and exceptionally persistent on the finish, with roasted agave, lime peel, pepper, dry herbs and stony minerality lingering for minutes. Powerful, uncompromising and beautifully pure. A benchmark high-proof blanco. Drink neat, perhaps with a few drops of water.
